Creating a Labor Assignment

To create a new Labor Assignment

1. Select New > Labor Assignment from the menu bar. The Select Repair Order search screen opens.
2. Enter your search criteria in the Search Terms field.
3. Click on the Match all of the words or Match any of the words droplist, and then click Search. Repair orders that match the search criteria appear in the Search Results pane.
4. Click on the repair order workfile, and then click OK. The New Labor Assignment screen opens with the selected Repair Order information pre-populated below the Toolbar.
   

Note: If you are already in an Open Repair Order workfile, click New > Labor Assignment from the mini-toolbar.

To assign Labor line items to a Technician or Team

1. Click on the Technician/Team droplist, and then click on the Technician or Team. The selected technician or team labor type and assign percentage information appear in the Labor type pane.
2. Select the line items that have the same labor type that you configured in the Employee configuration.
3. Click on the individual line items to assign them to the technician or team. A check mark is displayed in the checkbox of the line item.
4. Click Save and Close from the menu bar. The Labor Assignment information is saved, and the New Labor Assignment window closes.

Note: Alternately, click the Select button from the Toolbar, and then click All or the labor type. When a line item is checked, the system defaults Assign Hours based on the remaining hours and the assign percentages that were set up in configuration for the selected technician or team.

You will only be able to select line items where the labor type matches the labor types used in setup for the selected technician or team.
